Employment conditions


The ACT Integrity Commission provides interesting and challenging work and offers a range of flexible working conditions to balance each individual’s circumstances with the needs of the Commission.

The Commission also supports staff by providing learning and development opportunities.

The Commission recognises that enhanced flexibility in attendance and working arrangements has the potential to deliver benefits to staff and the Commission itself. The Commission seeks to optimise those benefits by fairly balancing the interests of all stakeholders.

General conditions of employment with the ACT Integrity Commission

Eligibility for employment

Section 50 of the Integrity Commission Act 2018 provides that the Commissioner must not appoint a person as a member of staff of the Commission if the person is or has, in the 5 years immediately before the day of the proposed appointment, been an ACT public servant.However, secondments of ACT public servants are allowed and will be considered, subject to approval from the Head of Service. Secondment arrangements will also be considered for applicants employed in Federal public service agencies.

Security and integrity requirements

It is a condition of employment for all staff that they must obtain and maintain a Commonwealth security clearance. Most positions within the Commission require a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance, however some positions may require a higher level clearance.

All staff must, on commencement with the Commission, complete a declaration of interests including any pecuniary (financial) and non-pecuniary interests, associations and relationships which may give rise to an actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest with their official duties.

Medical requirements

It is a condition of employment with the Commission that staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prospective staff members may be required to undergo a fitness for duty assessment prior to commencing employment with the Commission.

Commission staff entitlements are covered by the relevant ACTPS Enterprise Agreement.
