How to report wrongdoing

Any person can report wrongdoing by a public sector entity, public official, and former public officials, and those exercising public functions to the Commission.

The Commission’s preferred method for receiving complaints is via the Commission's online web form, however, reports can also be made using alternative contact methods.

It is important that reporters provide as much information as possible to enable an adequate assessment to be made by the Commission.

If a report is made orally, the Commission may require the person lodging the report to put the report in writing.

Reports can be made anonymously. However, anonymous reports impact the Commission’s ability to seek further information and, in some cases, may impact its ability to progress a report.

Reporters are protected from adverse action or reprisal.
