We accept reports on suspected corrupt conduct about current, or former, ACT Government public officials or entities.
Anyone can report to us. You can submit your suspicions to us in one of three ways: online, in writing (via email or letter), or by phone.
When reporting to us, keep in mind that we prioritise the investigation of:
- serious corrupt conduct that is likely to threaten public confidence in the integrity of government or public administration
- systemic corrupt conduct that reveals a pattern of conduct in one or more public sector entities.
Corrupt conduct can involve criminal offences or actions that could have serious disciplinary or employment consequences for a public official. It can also be a significant breach of public trust or the abuse or misuse of an official position. The full definition of corrupt conduct can be found in section 9 of the Integrity Commission Act 2018.
You can submit your suspicions anonymously.
If you’re unsure about reporting an issue, you can email or call us to discuss your concerns confidentially with one of our staff.
Anyone who makes a report to us in good faith is afforded protections against recrimination and reprisal.
If a person knowingly makes a report that is false or misleading, or makes a vexatious report, they forfeit their protections.
