Two entities have oversight of the Commission:
- the Inspector of the Integrity Commission
- the ACT Legislative Assembly Standing Committee on the Integrity Commission and Statutory Office Holders.
Inspector of the Integrity Commission
The Inspector of the Integrity Commission currently serves as the ACT Ombudsman.
The Inspector’s role includes:
- receiving, assessing and investigating complaints about the ACT Integrity Commission and its staff
- assessing and reporting on the Commission's compliance with legislation
- making recommendations to the Commission about its practices and procedures.

Standing Committee on the Integrity Commission and Statutory Office Holders
The ACT Legislative Assembly established the Standing Committee on the Integrity Commission and Statutory Office Holders. This Committee performs certain accountability and oversight functions, including to:
- examine matters related to corruption and integrity in public administration
- inquire into, and report on, matters referred to it by the Assembly
- inquire into, and report on, matters considered by the Committee to be of concern to the community
- perform all functions required of it under the Integrity Commission Act 2018
- monitor, review and report on the:
- performance of the Commission and the Inspector of the Integrity Commission
- exercise of the powers and functions of the Commission
- exercise of the powers and functions of the Inspector of the Integrity Commission
- annual reports of the Commission and the Inspector of the Integrity Commission
- any other reports made by the Commission.
The Committee does not reconsider:
- a decision to investigate, not investigate, or discontinue an investigation of a particular complaint made to the Commission
- the findings, recommendations, determinations or other decisions of the Commission or the Inspector of the Integrity Commission in relation to a particular investigation or complaint.
