Operation Kingfisher

Operation Kingfisher is an investigation into whether public officials within the ACT Education Directorate failed to exercise their official functions honestly and/or impartially when making recommendations and decisions regarding the Campbell Primary School Modernisation Project between 2019 and 2020.

This investigation has moved to the report-writing phase. This involves the Commissioner’s consideration of the evidence collected to date. The report-writing phase is an iterative process that may require additional evidence to be gathered.

Once this process finishes, a proposed report is given to people who have a direct interest in the proposed report. They are provided a minimum of 6 weeks to make any submissions.

The content of any submissions received are then considered by the Commissioner. This may lead to changes in the report, before the final version is provided to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
